Patrica Polacco-3rd grade author study
Patrica Polacco is an amazing writer. The books she writes are extrordenary. I love the fact that she writes things that actually happened. The thing I like the most is her word choises, the words she choses are magnifacent, and the way she discribes is amazing. My favorit book by Patricia Polacco is Thankyou Mr Falker. It’s a supurb book, it is about a little girl whowis determend to read, but it is not easey for her. In the third grade she gets a new techer, Mr.falker he teaches the little girl to read. At the end patirica Polacco WAS that little girl. Patrica Polacco writes amazing books. you should too.

The Capture
4th grade book club is reading The Capture by Kathryn Lasky. What do you think so far?
Beany
I just finished my first “Beany” book. I noticed lots of 3rd and 4th graders checking out Beany books and I was curious. I now understand why they are so popular! Beany is a lot like Junie B. Jones, but she isn’t as “babyish.” She also reminds me of Judy Moody…not quite as sassy though!
The book I read is Beany and the Meany. The series is written by Susan Wojciechowski. In Beany and the Meany, Beany is paired with the class bully to do a science fair project with. Needless to say, she doesn’t like it! Can Beany get around working with someone she doesn’t like? Will she and the bully win the science fair? Find out in Beany and the Meany.
Other Beany titles in our school library are: Beany and the Dreaded Wedding, Beany goes to Camp, and Beany and the Meany.
