    Joseph sleeps on a mat next to Cato. Then one day they start talking about Cato. Joseph finds out that Cato has lost his family. His mammy was sold, his father’s head got sliced in half there he is staring at his father’s head when he was just 5 years of age. He ramaneda slave for 50 years. Then suddenly Joseph said”Ishall never hold slaves.”Then Cato said”That be good master, that be good.” “Don’t call me master,”Joseph said. Now he thinks to himself again, am I betraying my father? I am far to weary to deal with it. Joseph falls asleep before Cato gets back to his bed.

    In chapter 9…
    Joey gets taken off of his chains and is put to work by the British. He has to tend the sick and feed them.Joey sleeps next to Cato for the night.Joey is very soar.
