In chapter 4 the British are coming and the town is going to surreder. I think that the British are going to take over their house and the children will get scared. Joey thinks that all British are bad, I think that some are n’t that bad. Joey takes things much too seriously. Why does Joey try to do things himself instead of asking for help.
I think that Joey tries to do so much himself instead of asking for help because he is trying to be grown up. He talks a lot about how he wishes he were more brave and that it embarrasses him when his little sister stands up for herself when he can’t…I think that’s why he is trying to do everything himself. What do the rest of the Bookbloggers think?

Haley,
I think that Joey tries to do so much himself instead of asking for help because he is trying to be grown up. He talks a lot about how he wishes he were more brave and that it embarrasses him when his little sister stands up for herself when he can’t…I think that’s why he is trying to do everything himself.
